| Loudoun Cares |
|
A group of local citizens who understand and value the important role of nonprofit organizations in Loudoun County were looking to the future when they formed Loudoun Cares in 2002. They raised start-up funds, hired an executive director and began to work on the goals of developing an information and referral telephone line and a nonprofit center. As the fastest growing county in the country, Loudoun faces many challenges and opportunities. One of those challenges is the maintenance of our nonprofit sector in the face of our high metropolitan area cost of living, dramatically escalating rents and property values, and increased demand on our nonprofit organizations. Loudoun County has a long history of taking care of its own. With our population growth, the challenges of maintaining our ability to do so have increased, and the strategies necessary to do so grow in scale. Loudoun Cares aims to provide the stability needed so the people in our County don't suffer. [ Top ]
